Anna Marlena is an Austrian Fine Artist and Illustrator. "Art fascinates me in every area, I cannot think of myself loosing the ability to express emotions and thoughts with visual media. My Art is greatly inspired by Jugendstil artists like Gustav Klimt and Alphonse Mucha. Also Naive Art is one of my great fascinations, I admire this area of art for it‘s simple and childlike approaches, that do not care about actual sizes or realistic perspectives - only the artists experience matters."

Since early childhood my favorite activities were drawing, painting and crafting, so with 14 years I attended the entrance exam for one of the best Higher Art Schools in Austria and was accepted into the sector of Graphics & Communication Design with the highest test score of the entrance exam of around 500 applicants.

In the five years of my studies I got educated in the areas of: History of Art, Composition, Philosophy of Communication, all Areas of Fine Art (such as: studies of the human skeleton, muscles and body & nude painting; Illustration; Painting; Collage Art etc), Calligraphy & Typography, Analogue & Digital Graphic Design, Lay- outing, Creative Thinking, Mind-mapping, Brainstorming, Analogue Photography and Digital Photography, Picture Editing, Chromatics & Printing, Screen-printing, Lithography and much more. I developed a variety of creative approaches, skills and thinking patterns.

Higher-Self-Portraits and Magical Portraits by Anna Marlena

Since End of 2013 I started my own Fine Art Project, I call it "Higher-Self-Portraits" or "Magical Portraits". The project has taken off rapidly - I have portrayed many beautiful from around the world and continue to do so. I usually work on large white artboard in mixed media - ink, watercolor, color pencil & markers.
