Working in watercolour and acrylic, my art reflects my take on our connection to our pets, their individualism and significance. I also like to capture places - countryside or by the sea and hopefully inspire a feeling.

Working from my garden studio, accompanied by my Border Terrier Teddy, a lot of my creative time is spent producing illustrations for children’s books. I also enjoy simply creating art!

The nature of my art and illustration work is very often inspired by the fields and trees I look out upon. I particularly love to portray animals and birds, reflecting both stylised and quirky or when called for, more realistic images to work either as a commission or within the imaginings of an author’s story.

I have been drawing and painting from a young age and have worked on many commissions over the last 30 plus years, using mainly watercolour. I gained a distinction with an 'Illustrating Children's Books' Diploma from London Art College which took me into the world of acrylics and more vibrant colour. I have since had much fun illustrating children’s book, creating eye catching front covers and producing designs for cards.
