Carers

Carers Trust Thames supports unpaid carers and people with care needs across West London, Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire. We provide respite breaks for carers and high quality personal care services to the people they care for. We are an independent charity and part of the Carers Trust network – Britain’s leading provider of information, advice and practical support to carers across the UK.

Carers are defined as people who provide regular unpaid care to a friend or family member. Without this support, the person being cared for would find it difficult to manage – this could be due to disability, illness, frailty, mental health problems or substance abuse problems. Many people do not see themselves as being a carer. Instead they might feel they are just being a good partner, parent, family member or neighbour.

Carers Trust Thames wants every carer to be supported and offered the services that help them to maintain their own health and wellbeing. With carers’ needs, choices and voices at the heart of everything we do, we strive to ensure that the enormous contribution they make to society and to those they care for is fully recognised, appreciated and valued.

We rely on donations in order to improve our existing services, develop new services and invest in staff training to help us reach and support people with more specialist care needs. Thank you for supporting us through your purchase today – your generosity is much appreciated.
